McMillan Sand Filtration Site – Parcel 4

Located on the southeast side of the Historic North Service Court, Jair Lynch will develop the first of their two buildings on the McMillan site.  Designed by David Jameson and MV+A Architects, the building reinforces McMillan’s unique sense of place and complements the historic resources through the use of simple geometric forms. Facing the active North Service Court, the ground floor contains a full service grocery store.  The residential program, which includes 85 senior affordable units, is designed in wings separated by deep courtyards open to North Capitol Street, thereby breaking the building’s mass into three smaller scaled facades.  Development is anticipated to start in mid-2018.
