JAIR LYNCH is managing the development of the Washington Highlands Branch of the District of Columbia Public Library. The new, 22,500 SF facility is a design by world-renowned British architect David Adjaye in partnership with a local architecture firm, Wiencek + Associates. Adjaye's pioneering concept of libraries as community centers is celebrated in cities throughout the world. The new Washington Highlands library will bring groundbreaking architecture to the District's Ward 8 neighborhood when it is completed in late 2011. It is expected to achieve LEED® Silver certification.
